About Chu's Express

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amβ9 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Chu's Express at (336) 884-8748; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is smorefood.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 271 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
High Point is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around High Point is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Our fave place (Huangβs on north main) was closed so we decided to give this a try (after a horrible experience at China City in Thomasville) my husband got the garlic chicken and it was soooo good but spicy. I got the sesame chicken, it was also good but lacked some flavor. We probably wonβt try this place again but overall it was good. It wasnβt expensive and the girls there were very friendly!

I was going to another place in High Point and on arrival they were closed (Google said open, door said closed for the day) so I looked up more places too see this place was the closest to me. I came here to get my daughter what she wanted (Pork Lo Mien). It was a dinner sized combo for $8! It tastes amazing! My daughter said she is very happy with it. I took a couple bites and need to say itβs very good! I usually donβt like light rice like this but itβs delicious. Thank you!

Let's give this place some more recognition! There's a drive thru if you'd like to use it (which I have never seen a Chinese restaurant with a drive thru I think it's super neat). I always go in to talk to the owner. She is extremely nice and hardworking, and a good cook. The food is flavourful and reminds me of the food I used to have at home. There's no seating inside so it's exclusively takeout. Flavors are great. Prices are also extremely reasonable. Whenever I'm in the area and need a quick bite this is my Chinese restaurant of choice.

Weβve lived here a year and have been wanting to try this restaurant; itβs so close. Not sure weβll be back. I ordered cashew chicken, pork with vegetables, and some Vegetable Lo Mein. Two people came in a while after me, they got their food just before me. That kind of ticked me off. But I figured I would simmer down and just try the food. Both my husband and I felt the food was not amazing. I mean, I hate to say this, but if I want Chinese food, I may have to get it at Panda Express. I wanted to like it. To her credit, the young woman was handling the transactions without skipping a beat. They do have some beautiful fish in an aquarium π€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈ.

Chu's Express is an asian restaurant servicing TAKE OUT ONLY. Located in High Point, this restaurant occupies the corner location of the Center Stage shopping mall. The place was clean and the pleasant lady at the front offered good customer service. The fold was ready in less than 10 mins. I will give props to this place for one thing though.....this was the most neatly packaged take out order......ever. I know my food is not spilling out of the box. A+++ for packaging. This location also has a drive through window. So you can literally call them and pick up the order without going inside the store. Food tasted good and very reasonably priced.
